Maina Au3

Gold

The Maina Au3 Project is located in an area with a high-grade gold mineralization, giving it significant potential. Currently, the area on the Peruvian side is only recently being developed due to geopolitical and restrictive circumstances that were resolved in 2006.

On the Ecuadorian side, there are proven reserves of 5.02 million ounces of gold in a single operation, making this project a unique opportunity of its kind.

About the mineral deposit

The deposit of the Pana 3 project is located in a Jurassic-era extension basin, the result of transtensional movements along a large regional strike-slip fault. This geological structure led to a down-dropped block measuring approximately 16 km from north to south and 2 km from east to west. The origin of the deposit dates back to the early stages of basin development in the northeast corner, subsequently becoming buried due to sediment accumulation in the basin.

The deposit, hosted by andesites and sediments of the Santiago Formation, represents an active volcanic arc during the Triassic and Jurassic periods. Although some gold is free milling, the majority is microscopic and associated with quartz, carbonates, and sulfides, with approximately 40% of the gold encapsulated. In higher-grade sections, coarse visible gold is frequently observed, with individual grains ranging from small specks to arborescent crystals exceeding 10 mm in size.

Maina Cu4

Copper

The Humay Project presents a unique opportunity as it involves the reactivation of a small-scale mining operation on a 600-hectare concession.

Access to the mine is located 250 km from Lima, taking the Panamericana Sur highway to the Libertadores Highway (28 A). From this point, it is 47 km east to the town of Letrayocc. Then, crossing the Pisco River through a partially enabled access road for 3.7 kilometers.

About the mineral deposit

The project is located in the area that represents the mineral deposit belt of the central coast of Peru known as IOCG (Iron-Oxide-Copper-Gold). This deposit belt is subject to continuous exploration due to its high grades and frequent co-products such as gold and silver.

These deposits originated due to the volcanic arc activity on the coast during the Jurassic and Lower Cretaceous, leading to geological formations rich in minerals, including batholiths that host copper vein systems.

Preliminary studies show that the concession area has rich surface reserves of copper oxide. Additionally, other copper mineralization zones near the surface have been identified, projecting significant potential for the presence of large, deep-seated bodies of copper sulfide mineralization.
